Master brought back a little sister
The master brought back a little junior sister.
My junior sister is good in every way, but it’s a pity that she doesn’t like me. To her, I am like a thorn in her eye and a thorn in her flesh. She wants me to be abandoned by the sect, to have my spiritual roots and cultivation wasted, and to be doomed forever.
As she wished.
Unfortunately, I still have a sword, and she will surely die by Yuechun’s sword.
1
Junior sister’s almond-shaped eyes are like spring water, thin and delicate like the cleanest handful of snow.
The little junior sister spoke softly and gently, and everyone in the sect, from the head of the sect to the outer disciples, showed her some affection.
The little junior sister is extremely talented. She has reached the foundation-building stage after only three months of training.
When the little apprentice sister first entered the room, her bare feet were exposed from her skirt, and her slightly curled toes looked like a flower about to bloom. She timidly hid behind the master, and the master, who had never smiled for years, also softened his brows towards her. Everyone looked at her like a fragile flower, and I smiled at her comfortingly, but I saw that the little apprentice sister turned her head away as if she was frightened, with slightly red eyes.
My junior brother pushed me and called me a fool, asking if I was trying to intimidate my junior sister with my expression. I got up from the ground, widened my eyes and said no. My master thought I was noisy and punished me to kneel in Qingxin Hall for half a month.
The little junior sister’s eyes were full of smiles, like flowers blooming in March. I liked her, too. I picked flowers for her from the back mountain, but she had an allergic reaction and had to cover her face for half a month. I gave her a physique elixir that I was reluctant to take, but after she took it, her cultivation level declined rapidly.
Everyone said that I was jealous of my junior sister, and blamed her for taking away everyone’s love, and wanted to destroy her face and ruin her cultivation. My eyes were red but I refused to shed a single tear, and I only hoped that my junior sister would speak a word of innocence for me, but she just shook her head and panted slightly and said that Senior Sister didn’t mean it, and she forgave Senior Sister Yuechun.
From then on, I became quiet and quiet, and practiced in a lukewarm manner.
I have no home, Changxu Gate is my home.
I treat my master like my own father, but he touched my junior sister’s soft hair and shook his head at me, saying, “Yuechun, you disappoint me so much.”
I treated my junior fellow apprentice with all my heart and soul, but he didn’t want to play with me. He liked to talk to the younger junior sister instead.
It took me fifteen years to build my foundation in Changxu Sect, but my junior sister surpassed me in just three months.
My junior sister and I took a mission to train, but we fell off a cliff. I carried my injured junior sister on my back and bypassed the miasma. The poison corroded my outer robe and exposed skin. My spiritual power was exhausted, and there was only a little left, just enough to send one person to the top of the cliff.
I gritted my teeth and sent my junior sister up, repeatedly telling her to call the master to save me. If the master was too busy, I could call a few senior brothers.
I held myself at the foot of the cliff and waited and waited. The bottom of the cliff was so scary at night. I said to myself tremblingly, Master will come, will come.
At worst, I still have my fiancé Bai Sui, he will fly on a sword to save me.
Days passed, my wounds had festered, my spiritual veins were damaged from fighting the beasts, but still no one came. I thought, it doesn’t matter, maybe the junior sister is still unconscious. Then I will go back by myself.
I bypassed hundreds of miles of mountain barriers and climbed up 11,000 steps of Changxu Mountain. My hands and feet were almost completely damaged. I was so happy to go home. In the end, I collapsed at the last step.
But I saw lights and decorations. Changxu Gate had never been so lively. An outer disciple passed by and said it was the little junior sister’s birthday.
I was so stupid back then.
Even though Junior Sister fainted and didn’t say anything, why doesn’t anyone care about where you are?
I made up all kinds of excuses for them, but now they told me that it was my junior sister’s birthday.
Someone stared at the collapsed person on the ground for a long time and shouted, “Senior Sister Yuechun is back!”
“What senior sister? She is such a vicious person, she doesn’t deserve to be called that!”
I dropped two tears onto the ground. The next moment, a sword flashed, and the tip of the sword pointed directly at my throat.
Bai Sui looked down at me, her eyes like shooting stars, her long hair tied up high, and a hint of coldness in her eyes.
“Yuechun, why did you want to cause my junior sister to enter the miasma?”
Hearing the noise, a large group of people came out of the hall.
I was shocked by the sword energy and spit out a mouthful of blood, but I said blankly: “Who did I hurt?”
The junior brother rushed forward and sneered first.
“You’ve always been jealous of her. Who are you trying to harm? You did this to my junior sister, and you still want to play innocent?”
He stepped on me and I turned my head away, tears streaming down my face: “I harmed my junior sister? I carried her on my back for such a long distance, and even damaged my spiritual veins to help her come back. How did I harm her?” I raised my eyes to look at him, he looked so strange.
The junior brother looked hesitant, and finally withdrew his foot from my shoulder.
The crowd dispersed, and the junior sister came out. There was a flower bud between her eyebrows, and she was radiant. Tears fell before she could say a word.
The master protected her behind him and looked at me as if he were looking at a spirit beast in a hunting ground.
“Yuechun, you have harmed your fellow disciples. As a punishment, you will be stripped of your spiritual roots and expelled from the sect.”
I crawled forward crying and said to my master, please believe me, Yuechun has no home, Yuechun has not harmed anyone, and his face is covered with mud.
My family, Bai Sui pointed his sword at me, and my junior brother stepped on me.
Can’t I recognize it yet?
Yuechun has never had a home.
I was a baby girl abandoned at the foot of Changxu Mountain. My master picked me up. I couldn’t speak until I was five years old. Everyone thought I was a little fool. When I was seven years old, I was found to have mixed spiritual roots and no talent for cultivation. I also thought that my master would abandon me, so I stood there obediently with my head down. But my master said that Yuechun was my disciple. So I stayed.
I crawled on the ground, tears streaming down my face.
I said, “Master, Changxumen is my home. I have nowhere else to go.”
The master’s white hair reached down to his waist, but his face was still young. He looked at me indifferently.
“The Changxu Sect has raised you for fifteen years. We have never treated you unfairly with spirit stones and elixirs. You are naturally stupid, so this is the most we can do. But from now on, the Changxu Sect will no longer tolerate people like you with bad intentions.”
Junior Brother was so angry that his eyes turned red. He could not help it any longer and said in a voice full of anger: “You knew that Junior Sister had a pure spiritual body, but you deliberately led her into the miasma, causing her to almost give birth to demonic energy. Fortunately, she survived the disaster and even formed a little embryonic pill because of it.”
She had been a disciple for only one year, had built her foundation in half a year, and had reached the half-step golden elixir stage in half a year. It really seemed like she was blessed by fate.
But, as a person with a dull talent like me, do I deserve to be her stepping stone?
I raised my eyes with difficulty to look at my junior brother. He was the same age as me, a young man from an aristocratic family. Even in the human world, he was of noble status and always spoke freely. But I sincerely treated him as a friend.
A tear fell into the soil. I remembered how I tried my best to hug my junior sister when the miasma came. I was not big, but I held her tightly in my arms. I told her not to be afraid, but I was trembling in pain because the miasma corroded my skin.
She calls me senior sister, so I protect her.
I turned around and asked Bai Sui, “I didn’t hurt her. Don’t you believe me either?”
It was Bai Sui who first said that I was vicious, and it was he who first pointed his sword at my throat. He once taught me to practice swordplay, and the blade was as sharp as the wind. He taught me that the tip of the sword should always be pointed at the enemy.
Bai Sui’s eyebrows twitched slightly, his phoenix eyes turned away from me, and the veins on his hand that was gripping the hilt of the sword were exposed.
He paused and said, “Yuechun, if you do something wrong, you will be punished.”
The moon over Wushan Mountain set, and my junior sister walked forward. I was afraid that I would hurt her, so I followed her closely to protect her.
The junior sister’s name is Chu Yao. When she stood in front of me, I saw the pearls on her shoes trembling.
She said softly, “Sister, I don’t blame you. I was the only one who appeared. If I hadn’t been so close to Master and Junior Brother, you wouldn’t have resented me. Now I have made you like this.”
She probably felt guilty, and her eyes were half red.
Chu Yao should indeed feel guilty, but not for this reason.
I gritted my teeth and pulled out the sword at my waist. I mobilized the last bit of spiritual energy in my body and raised the Yuechun sword, pointing it directly at her forehead.
Before the sword tip got close, it was rolled to the ground. The sword tip pierced through the palm of my hand and nailed it to the ground. Then someone kicked me.
The junior sister was frightened and people around her were concerned about her.
I was in so much pain that I couldn’t help myself. But I had never been so clear-headed.
I am Yuechun. I have been in Changxu Sect for fifteen years. I am stupid and stubborn. Everyone says I am vicious, but the most vicious thing I have ever done is to steal chickens from the back mountain.
The master personally peeled off my spiritual roots, but asked me to stay awake and experience the extreme pain.
He once led me into the door of cultivation, but now he has closed the door to immortality to me forever.
The master brought back a little junior sister who had pretty eyes and eyebrows. A year later, I no longer had a junior brother and a master.
Changxumen is no longer my home.
2
When my master destroyed my spiritual roots, he said that he shouldn’t have picked me up.
My soul was broken, but I couldn’t help the pain. At this point, there was no need for me to defend myself anymore.
Of course I hated him. I hated that my master picked me up but only treated me like a naughty kitten.
Master, is Yuechun wrong?
I know that Master has a high status in the world of cultivation, but he has only accepted four disciples. I am only at the foundation building stage now, which has embarrassed him. I am not good at speaking. If he had not passed by in the snow and the Yuechun Sword that was thrown away with me had not attracted him to stop, I might not have been able to get his protection. Yuechun Sword is a good sword. But I am not the genius he thinks I am.
Look at what I have done. If I were someone else, I would be extremely disappointed in myself. When my junior sister came in, she was so radiant and beautiful. In the eyes of others, it should be me, the stupid senior sister, who used all kinds of clumsy methods to harm her.
Until she almost fell into the miasma at the foot of Changxu Mountain. Demon Lord Xie Changqing was once possessed by the miasma at the foot of Changxu Mountain. From a popular genius, he became a feared demon lord. He took up his sword and killed all the Taiqing Sect that nurtured him. It is said that a part of his consciousness remained in the devil barrier.
The Changxu Sect was extremely angry because of this.
It is unbearable and unavoidable.
I went down the mountain holding the Yuechun Sword. It was snowing on Changxu Mountain.
I walked slowly up the 11,000 steps, and it seemed like I had walked through fifteen years. My spiritual roots were destroyed, my body was useless, and every step was extremely painful. The junior sister gave me the elixir, and looked at me with pity, with tears in her eyes.
Chu Yao handed over the medicine, and my junior brother didn’t stop me. Perhaps he still felt a little sorry for me, so he turned his head away and didn’t look at me.
I smiled, coughed up blood, and asked her in confusion, “If you really want to help me, you shouldn’t show up in front of me.”
She trembled slightly, and the junior brother turned around and wanted to argue with me, but I was too weak. I pretended not to hear or see the criticism and different looks from those disciples.
I walked slowly down Changxu Mountain.
When we reached the last step, we saw a dark figure still standing there. He didn’t have an umbrella and his head was covered with snow.
I lowered my eyes and walked forward.
He turned around and called me, Yuechun.
My right hand was unable to move, and there was a huge hole on it, which was caused by Bai Sui’s sword.
Bai Sui has no parents, and I picked him up and brought him to Changxu Mountain. When he said he liked me, it was snowing heavily.
The wound on my hand was still bleeding, and drops of blood were seeping out like plum blossoms on the snow.
Snow fell on my eyebrows, and I spat out “get out” at him with extreme disgust.
Bai Sui tied her hair up high and pursed her lips, but still said, “We still have some affection in the past. If you really have nowhere to turn to, you can come to me for help.”
I really want to laugh out loud. Who was it that hugged me tightly, trembling and saying that I shouldn’t leave him alone? Who was so despicable?
I chuckled, and it hurt so much that I looked into his eyes and said word by word, “I shouldn’t have saved you, you lowly half-demon.”
His face suddenly turned pale, his hair hit his temples, he clenched the sword in his hand, breathing slightly, unable to say anything.
Seeing him so sad, I felt a little better.
Continue to go down the mountain slowly.
The miasma under the cliff of Changxu Mountain is indeed unusual. It has spread to my heart and corroded my meridians. I endured the unspeakable pain every second and pretended to be calm. If not, I would not only have my spiritual roots destroyed, but I would also have lost my life there.
A voice sounded lazily in my heart.
“Now go back, I will teach you how to kill someone in ten steps. Your hypocritical master and sect will pay the price for what they did. It’s snowing on Changxu Mountain, and the blood flowing in the snow is like the most beautiful painting in the world.”
I paused and called him in confusion, “Demon Lord, Xie Changqing?”
The voice paused for a moment, then chuckled, “It’s been a while since I’ve heard anyone call me Xie Changqing.”
I looked up at the sky and it was freezing cold.
I thought about it, but still refused.
“I don’t want to be possessed by the devil. There are more ways in the world than just cultivating the truth or becoming possessed by the devil. I still have my Yuechun Sword. Sooner or later, I will use it to defeat them one by one.”
Xie Changqing sneered: “You are so stupid, yet you are still so naive.”
I stuck the Yuechun sword into the snow to support my body, and said sarcastically, “I heard that the most proud disciple of the head of Taiqing Sect was established at the age of seven, and reached the golden elixir at the age of ten. When he was fifteen, his cultivation was unfathomable and he was called a genius that only appears once in a thousand years. Then, how come you, with such an outstanding talent, have fallen to the point where the upright are terrified and disdained? Is it because of that little bit of pitiful naivety?”
Xie Changqing was silent for a long time, then slowly said, “Interesting. Being rejected by the righteous path and disdaining the evil path, I want to see how you, who can’t even hold a sword so shakily, can redeem yourself in this world.”
Xie Changqing’s consciousness left my heart, but the poisonous miasma was deeply imprinted into all my meridians.
I held on to the sword, but the next second I couldn’t hold it in any longer, and I fell to my knees weakly, vomiting blood.
The cold snow fell on the Yuechun sword, but it actually brightened its edge.
I approached as if seeking a sense of security.
Yuechun Sword, ah Yuechun Sword, one sword can bring peace, one sword can decide the fate of the world.
Can you restore the reversed black and white back to clarity?
From now on I have no home, all I have is the Yuechun Sword.
My tendons and veins are damaged, my spiritual roots are gone, and my broken dantian is empty. I really want to lie down in the snow and cry.
Only I know how sad I was because when I tested my spiritual roots, my master lowered his eyes and said in disappointment, “You have mixed spiritual roots, and you can only reach the foundation building stage in your lifetime.” I practiced desperately, day and night, but the spiritual energy between heaven and earth seemed to have encountered a stone and could not penetrate.
I often envy Chu Yao, who built her foundation in three months. But even though I worked so hard day and night for more than ten years, I still couldn’t match her three months.
My blood soaked into red plum blossoms on the snow.
I am in such despair. If the disciples who are sweeping the snow tomorrow see me lying at the foot of Changxu Mountain and tell them about it, it will only make them laugh.
The wind and frost gave me a splitting headache. I heard the sound of Buddhist chanting in a trance, and when I looked up, it seemed as if golden Buddha flowers were blooming all around me.
A monk in a cassock came walking on the snow, with a scarlet dot between his brows and a pair of phoenix eyes raised sharply. He clearly looked like a monk, but there was a hint of viciousness in the corners of his eyes, and his whole temperament was still compassionate.
He came slowly out of the foggy snowstorm, with numerous round Buddhist beads strung around his neck.
Yue Chun’s sword was as thick as three feet of snow and could only support my body as I knelt in the snow. I looked up and saw him finally stop in front of me.
His sleeves stood still in the wind, the Buddhist beads around his neck glowed a little brighter, and he stood condescendingly.
He smiled and leaned slightly to look at me: “So it’s you.”
I didn’t understand what he said and looked at him blankly.
“Who are you?”
“I am Zhan Ji, and I came to see you from Kong Ming Temple.”
I know Kongming Temple. After the destruction of Cangjian Villa and Taiqing Sect, Kongming Temple has become one of the three major sects along with Changxu Sect and Yaotai Sect.
“Why did you come to me?” I couldn’t even speak and vomited blood.
“Amitabha.” He said calmly, lowering his eyes in compassion, and stretched out his hand to cover my forehead. Golden light shone brightly, and warmth flowed from my forehead to my limbs and meridians. The excruciating pain was finally almost eliminated. The pure and true Buddha’s light is the greatest nemesis of evil spirits.
When he withdrew his hand, his face looked thoughtful.
I bowed to him gratefully and searched my body for a long time, but I found out that I was so poor that I only had dozens of low-grade spirit stones left. I was too poor to give them away, so I said embarrassedly that I would repay you some other day.
I suddenly remembered who Zhan Ji was. He was a genius of this generation in Kongming Temple, born as a Buddhist. His master once said that as long as he could see through the last two words of the seven emotions and six desires, he could become a Buddha right away. I turned my head and looked at Bai Sui, who cut off the Hopeless Peak with one sword on the left, the little junior sister who had been building the foundation for half a year on the right, and the little junior brother who could make a golden elixir by eating and drinking. I fiddled with the tassel on the sword and lamented the uneven fate.
The wind and snow were so strong, but with Zhan Ji standing here, the wind and snow didn’t dare to get close.
He said, “It’s just a small favor. You can help me a lot in the future.”
I shook my head in confusion, waiting for him to continue.
Zhan Ji remained silent, his eyes raised with a look of compassion.
“What is the donor’s name?”
“My name is Yuechun.”
He said he remembered it, and when he turned to leave, he glanced at the Yuechun sword in front of me that was three feet deep in the snow, and sighed, “What a good sword.”
I said yes.
After all, in this world, your master will dig out your spiritual roots, your lover will pierce your wrist with a sword, your fellow apprentice will step on your spine and curse you, and your younger apprentice will smile and say, “Senior sister, I forgive you.”
But Yuechun Sword will always be with me.
3
Logically speaking, someone like me who has no talent cannot reach the foundation-building stage early even if I practice hard. As my master said, I am indeed a very mediocre person.
There is a half-volume of incomplete manual in the Yuechun sword. No one can read it or learn it except me. They always sneer and say, look at Senior Sister Yuechun’s sword, and then look at Senior Sister Yuechun again, she is so unworthy.
The first move in Feng Laiwan’s sword manual is the breathing method. It took me a long time to understand it. However, it was this breathing method that allowed me to build a foundation at the age of fifteen, and barely make it to a mediocre level in the sect.
The second move is to draw the sword. After you have mastered it, it is said that the sword light is as graceful as a startled wild goose. But I am really stupid, and my sword is slow and dull.
When I got to the third form, I couldn’t practice any more. There are 72 forms in total, and I have half of them stored here.
After Zhan Ji left, it was just me and the Yuechun Sword left in the snow. It was the first time that I pulled out the Yuechun Sword from the snow so skillfully.
The sword is slow and blunt, why is there hesitation in the heart? Why is it so dull and confused?
I have always wanted to be a good girl, a good senior sister, and a good apprentice.
I missed the disappointed look of my master and the angry gaze of my fellow apprentices. With so many burdens hanging on the tip of my sword, how could my sword be faster?
I closed my eyes, and the Yuechun Sword made a perfect start. I had never performed the second move of the Fenglaiwan Sword Manual so perfectly. As I cut through the wind and snow, the sword rang softly, in harmony with the sounds of heaven and earth. After one move, my forehead was sweaty, but I laughed out loud as I stood between heaven and earth.
There are many towns below Changxu Gate. I followed the smell and walked into a roadside stall.
I sat down and ordered a bowl of Yangchun noodles, a steaming hot bowl full of green onions. I happily took a chopstick and just as I put it in my mouth, I heard the lively conversation at the next table.
They were a few independent cultivators in their twenties and thirties.
“Do you know? The Jade Void Master of Changxu Sect expelled his eldest disciple Yuechun from the sect. I saw a disciple post a notice at the foot of Changxu Mountain. After posting it, he spat and said it was really unlucky.”
“Well, who doesn’t know? As a disciple of Master Yuxu, with elixirs and magic pills at his service, it took him so many years to build his foundation. Their new disciple, Fairy Chu Yao, built her foundation in three months. I don’t want to harm her out of jealousy.”
“If I were her, I would be so ashamed and angry that I would die. After Fairy Chu Yao was pushed into the miasma by her, she struggled to climb out, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, and she is about to form a pill. On the other hand, she failed to harm others, and her own cultivation was also lost.”
“Poor Changxu Sect, they have been raising an ungrateful wolf that only knows how to bite people for more than ten years.”
I lowered my eyes and brushed away the green onions on my face, feeling a little sour in my eyes.
Their faces were filled with indignation, and they spoke of the miasma on the Changxu Cliff with saliva flying, as if they had seen it with their own eyes.
I took a big mouthful of noodles and wiped away a tear from the corner of my eye without caring.
There was a sound of breaking wind, and a dart went straight into the wooden table of the casual cultivators. The blade penetrated deep into the wooden table, just a hair’s breadth away from the finger of the person who was speaking the most excitedly. Most of the skin that was close to it had been cut and worn away.
The conversation stopped abruptly, and after a moment he cried out in pain and cursed.
I looked in the direction where the sound of breaking wind came from.
The young man in black leaned against the door, one hand across his chest, two fingers lazily holding a dead leaf. I could see clearly that the hidden weapon on the table was not a dart, but a crisp yellow dead leaf. His long sleeves were blown by the wind, and his black hair was scattered on his temples, adding a sense of willfulness. It was snowing heavily, and there were not many people. The wind and snow blew through his black hair and fell a little on his lips, making them look more crystal clear. He was born well, with flying eyebrows and sweeping temples, and the corners of his eyes were tilted upwards, with a little mole lightly embedded, which made him look a bit sickly and romantic.
The casual cultivator saw who he was, held his bleeding finger and glared at him, just about to curse him with obscene words.
The young man in snow-covered clothes just raised his eyes slightly, the darkness disappeared in his eyes, and the snow became even colder.
The group of wandering cultivators were so frightened that they began to tremble and dared not speak anymore.
He walked in, the cold air seeped in, the cultivator shivered more and more obviously, and sweat appeared on his forehead.
As they got closer, the wandering cultivator finally couldn’t hold on any longer and knelt down, kowtowed on the ground in a very embarrassed manner and begged for mercy.
The young man walked past him as if he hadn’t seen him. After all, the begging voice was annoying, so he paused and said, “Go away.”
He smiled nonchalantly and said, “Go tell these words to everyone in Changxu Sect.”
The Changxu Sect values its reputation the most, and there is absolutely no place for low-status independent cultivators like them to be included in the list.
The casual cultivator’s face turned pale, and the young man couldn’t wait for a response, so he clicked his tongue impatiently.
Those wandering cultivators looked back at the dead leaves stuck on the table like blades, gritted their teeth and agreed, then quickly rolled out, as if they were unwilling to stay even a moment longer.
When the young man looked at me, I withdrew my gaze, looked at my nose with my eyes and my heart with my nose, and looked at the half bowl of noodles in front of me as if I could see flowers.
Who knew that he would sit down next to me the next second, put the yellow leaf at his fingertips right in front of me, and he also ordered a bowl of plain noodles, but I was so nervous that I didn’t dare to look at him at all.
The young man with snow on his shoulders tapped his fingertips on the table twice and lowered his voice with a hint of mockery and pity: “You said you have your own path to follow, but why are you crying just because of a few low-class people’s criticism?”
Now I know who he is, the demon king who has been circling in my mind not long ago, Xie Changqing.
I looked at the fragile dead leaf lying on the table, and thought of the many horrible stories about Xie Changqing that were rumored in the market. I was still self-aware enough not to argue with him.
I unconsciously tightened my grip on the Yuechun Sword. Xie Changqing sneered, “Just eat your noodles. I don’t have the time to attack a useless person like you who has no cultivation.”
That’s true. I pinched my palms and picked up the chopsticks to eat the remaining half bowl of noodles. When I raised my head from the bowl, I found Xie Changqing looking at the bowl of plain noodles in front of him with disdain. The noodles were sprinkled with chopped green onions and soaked up the soup. It was so delicious to take a bite.
I immediately understood what he meant. The famous Demon King must be too picky and couldn’t eat this bowl of noodles. But it was a pity. I touched my stomach and felt that I could probably still finish that bowl of noodles.
I looked at the bowl of noodles tactfully, then at Xie Changqing, and was about to make a request in an understanding manner, but I saw Xie Changqing nodded.
“In that case, pick out all the green onions for me.”
I had to choose a new pair of chopsticks and pick the onions cleanly bit by bit. What he meant was that not even a trace of green should be visible.
I sighed, and while I was picking, I suddenly opened my mouth and said very sincerely, “Thank you.”
Who would have thought that after I came back from the cliff of Changxu Mountain, the kindness I received was not from my fellow disciples, but from people I had never met before. No matter what their intentions were, they helped me after all.
Xie Changqing took the noodles I had chosen and said, “I just like to teach people a lesson. What does it have to do with you?”
I said yes.
I picked up the Yuechun Sword, stood up to pay the bill, and also paid Xie Changqing for the noodles. I didn’t have many spirit stones on me, and the remaining ones were really in jeopardy. I sighed in distress.
I turned around and bowed to him: “The road ahead is long, so let’s say goodbye now.”
Xie Changqing picked up a piece of noodles with chopsticks, raised his head, looked at me with a smile, and a little bit of snow melted on his long eyelashes.
“Don’t die before I see you next time.”
I said to him stubbornly: “Even if my life is cheap, I will live longer than you all.”
Xie Changqing put down his chopsticks slowly, with a hint of sarcasm on the corners of his lips, and his peach blossom eyes curved with a smile: “Okay. Remember your words, Yuechun.
“I also wish you a long and blessed life.”
What he said was truly heartfelt.
I opened the curtains and was greeted by a blanket of cold air and snow. I lowered my eyes and said to myself, “Where should I go?”
The Yuechun sword in my hand suddenly rang, and the hilt was clearly pointing to the south.
Now I knew where I should go.
As I left the town governed by Changxu Mountain, the snow stopped falling. When I left the city gate, I looked back from a distance and happened to see the top of Changxu Mountain. This was the last glimpse I had.
Without any reluctance, I cut through the wind and snow and headed south.
4
As I hurried on my way, I carefully studied my Feng Lai Wan sword manual. After I got the hang of it, I was faster than before. However, I only practiced three moves in two months. This shows that my talent is indeed hatefully mediocre.
My cultivation power was gone, so I couldn’t fast naturally, so I found a dilapidated temple to rest. I skewered a rabbit with the tip of my sword, and slowly roasted it over the fire, until the fat on the skin came out and the fragrance filled my nose, and that was it.
I silently apologized to the dusty Buddha in the temple, tore off a rabbit leg, and stuffed it into my mouth.
As soon as I bit down, I heard a humming sound. I put down the rabbit leg and listened carefully, but it disappeared again. I thought it was the wind outside. I was about to bite down again, and I heard the humming sound again.
I’m a little scared.
You know, although I always pretend to be fearless, I am actually more like a girl than anyone else.
I tightly grasped the Yuechun Sword and slowly walked towards where the crying sound came from, which was behind the Buddha statue.
A girl was huddled there, looking up at me in horror, with tears on her face. I was also looking at her in horror, not knowing who was scarier.
But at least she was a human being, not a demon or a demon cultivator. She was probably very hungry, and only after eating half of my rabbit did she tell me the reason in tears.
The town ahead probably has a demon king or something like that, and he wants all the young girls in the town, and they have to be virgins. The news has been blocked in the town, and no one is allowed to send a message to the immortal sect for help. Someone tried to contact the Changxu Sect, but there has been no response so far.
She hid here because she didn’t want to be sent to the Demon King.
I looked at the half rabbit with pity, and when I raised my eyes, I met the girl’s hopeful eyes.
When she saw me holding the Yuechun Sword, she thought I was some cultivator with profound skills.
But I still had to tell her earnestly that I couldn’t even muster the energy.
The girl’s face turned pale.
I also want to thank her for telling me this news. After all, I am not an expert and I don’t know my opponent’s strength, so I can only take a detour from a distance. All I can do is inform the nearby sects.
The girl’s face was abnormally pale and she pointed her finger at my back, tremblingly.
My head felt dizzy, and when I woke up I was already in the magic hole that the girl had mentioned.
The girl’s name was Minglan. She said she was the most beautiful girl in town, so it was understandable that I was chosen as her maid rather than her bride.
I still regret eating roasted rabbit in that dilapidated temple. The Buddha must have been unhappy, which made me, a passer-by, so unlucky. I was knocked unconscious and captured and sent to this evil cave together with Minglan.
Many young brides were imprisoned in a room, each of them was dressed in red wedding dresses, and gathered together crying.
It’s no wonder they were so scared. After all, this demon cave was extremely cold and eerie. Plus, the little demons guarding the gate had green faces and fangs, and the way they looked at the girls was no different from the way they looked at their tender flesh.
Because I was a maid, I pretended to be submissive and moved much more freely than the brides.
But what made me most anxious was that I had lost my Yuechun Sword.
I often took the opportunity of delivering meals to look for the place where my Yuechun Sword was hidden.
It’s rare for me to feel so angry, and I hate myself for being useless. As a swordsman, what’s the point of living without a sword?
I poked my head around and stopped at a door. The door was half-closed, and the little demon guarding the door had probably finished his task. I pushed the door open. The room was quite large, and the bright red wedding bed was dazzlingly red, which was even more strange under such circumstances. There was a woman sitting in the middle of the wedding bed, covered with a red veil. Normally, such a scene would only make people feel scared, but as soon as you see that person, the boredom in your heart will be reduced.
From the sleeves of her wedding dress, a hand appeared. It was white, slender, and with distinct joints. She was holding an apple, but her hand was prettier than the apple. She was well-proportioned, but a little tall. For the first time, I felt a pity for her. Although I hadn’t seen her yet, I felt that I had to rescue her.
I approached her, and the tassels on her red veil swayed slightly.
I could not help but lift the red veil, revealing her fair jaw, high nose bridge, and beautiful eyebrows and eyes. There was a dot of cinnabar between her eyebrows, and a golden Buddha flower earring dangled from her hair.
The beauty is a beauty, but she is a handsome man.
He’s just a handsome guy, but he also saved my life.
It is tranquility.
His face was calm, and a wave of light slowly emerged from his eyes, melting into the red sand between his brows.
It was Guanyin who smiled and said, “I have finally waited for you.
“Yuechun.”
I was still in the position of lifting his veil, and was dazzled by his smile. I felt a little awkward, and for some reason I said something irrelevant: “Little Master, why do you have long hair?”
Zhan Ji laughed.
He briefly explained the whole story. He was passing by the town on his way back to Kongming Temple when he encountered this incident. He took advantage of the situation and replaced the bride who was to be delivered. The little demon only saw a piece of his white jaw exposed from under the veil and knew that she was a stunning beauty who was imprisoned here.
I smacked my lips in admiration, this is what shows the difference between people. When I encountered this, I wanted to stay away from it and inform the news, but Zhan Ji came to the mountain to eliminate the demon.
My tense heart finally relaxed when I saw Zhan Ji, but I still suppressed my anxiety about not being able to find the sword and asked him how he knew I would come.
Zhan Ji took out a Yuechun sword from behind him.
“I saw them holding the sword, and I knew you would come.”
I was overjoyed, and saw a little more respect in Zhan Ji’s eyes.
He said calmly, “Originally, the evil spirit in the world was only hidden in the darkest places, but now it has been able to occupy a town openly. The reason behind this must be complicated.”
According to Zhan Ji, we should wait until we meet the devil before taking action. It is not appropriate to alert the enemy now.
When did I meet the devil? I later found out that it was when I got married.
When they got married, the gloomy demon cave had to be decorated with red festive colors, which was really weird. The brides were so scared that they didn’t even dare to cry, and I was also trembling in my heart. The brides covered their heads with veils and needed to be led by maids when walking, with strange-looking demons on both sides.
I followed the bride Zhan Ji, holding her sleeve as I walked. However, I was trembling and walking less steadily than Zhan Ji who was covered with a veil.
It was dark in the cave and I felt a little panicked, but I whispered to Zhan Ji, “Don’t be afraid.”
Zhan Ji paused, then gave me a relic, and my feeling of suffocation and nausea disappeared immediately.
I calmed down, and the Yuechun Sword shrank into a hidden sword and hid it in my sleeves.
When we arrived at the wedding hall, the cold and gloomy atmosphere became stronger. I clenched the relic in my hand, and it seemed as if golden light was flowing through all my meridians.
The demon leader showed his face, and I looked up quietly. The demon leader had a horrible face and thin limbs. The smell of corruption and blood emanated from his withered body. I quickly lowered my head. This demon cultivator looked so horrible, and the aura around him was unspeakably disgusting. No wonder people at that time despised demon cultivators.
I suddenly thought of Xie Changqing again. He was obviously the most famous demon cultivator in the world, but he didn’t have the slightest sense of corruption. If he had restrained the sarcasm on his face, I would probably have thought he was a favored child of some major sect.
As I was thinking this, the demon cultivator approached. His skinny hands tried to lift up the veil of the quiet monk while he instructed the other demons in a hoarse voice, “Peel off the skins of the others and collect their blood in the pool. This kind of virgin blood is the best, and you need it, my Lord.”
My heart tightened. Not only was the method brutal, but from what he said, the blood of these girls was to be used for the superior of this evil cultivator.
Who ordered this demon cultivator to collect the woman’s blood? Was it a more powerful demon or some powerful person in the world of cultivation?
Just as the demon cultivator’s hand was about to reach out to the quiet red veil, another slender jade-like hand tightly grasped it. The demon cultivator’s hand could not move at all. The golden Buddhist mantra patterns wrapped around the demon cultivator. He was caught off guard and screamed in pain in an unpleasant voice.
The Yuechun sword was unsheathed at the same time, and I cut off the little demons on both sides who were trying to hold the girls hostage. Because of the relic he had given me, the sword energy was also shining with golden light.
I settled the frightened girls down, then wielded the Yuechun Sword to kill the green-faced demon.
Although the little demons are not a big deal, there are many of them. The third move of Feng Laiwan’s sword technique is so powerful that I have learned two new moves without realizing it when I swung the sword.
I was exhausted and my right hand was shaking slightly from overexerting itself. After Zhan Ji dealt with the demon cultivator, he arrived and helped me to resolve the last two clusters of black air.
I fell to the ground, my face pale, and looked up at Zhan Ji. There was already a little red between his eyebrows, and now it became more obvious, and the corners of his eyes turned a little redder, but he looked so pitiful that people dared not approach him. The string of relics around his neck was dark in color.
I was extremely tired, but I laughed while panting: “Little Master, I have killed all these little demons.”
I already know the fifth move of Feng Laiwan Sword Technique. Am I very powerful now?
Zhan Ji opened his hands, and a golden Buddha flower with overlapping petals blossomed in his palm. He handed the flower to me.
I took it with a smile on my face. This was the first time I was given flowers.
I carefully held a golden Buddha flower with layers of folds in my palm.
Zhan Ji calmed the girls down and sent them home one by one, calming the people in this remote town, and before leaving, he left behind a few golden seals for their protection.
Zhan Ji told me to be careful at all times, saying that there would be a major turmoil in the world of cultivation. This was evident from the fact that the demon cultivators were drawing blood this time, and the two major sects nearby were completely unaware of it.
The people will be in trouble.
I was biting a wild fruit, and the flowers on the roadside were in full bloom. The sun was shining brightly, and Zhan Ji was walking slowly in front of me. I asked, “Little Master, what is the common people?”
With his eyes as white as snow, he said, “The common people are all things in the world. No matter they are princes, nobles, servants, or birds and beasts, every blade of grass and every tree here, even the fruit in your mouth, they are all the common people.”
“You are a Buddhist disciple of Kongming Temple, so you must become a Buddha. I heard that Buddhas love all things and all beings are equal.”
“I must first learn to be partial, and then I can love everything, Miss Yue.”
I said “Oh” in a half-understanding tone: “Preference?”
He looked me in the eye and repeated slowly, “Preference.”
How much partiality must one have to be strong enough to be shared equally among all things in the future?
The Yuechun Sword became hot, and guided me to the south. Zhan Ji pointed his hand at the Yuechun Sword, and the agitation of the Yuechun Sword calmed down.
“Miss Yue, you said you have no father or mother, and your life story is a mystery. Now there are some unusual movements at the old site of Cangjian Villa in the south, maybe we can trace the origin by following the Yuechun Sword.”
It turns out that the commotion surrounding Yuechun Sword was related to the discovery of the remains of Cangjian Villa.
Zhan Ji said that he was originally going to the old site of Cangjian Villa. Ever since the owner of Cangjian Villa became obsessed with swordsmanship and killed his wife many years ago, he also massacred the entire villa. This former sword sect and the mountain were destroyed together, and it was not until today that the secret realm reappeared. Now all the major sects have sent disciples to search for treasures and gain experience.
Zhan Ji and I went together.
With my mind calm, I was able to practice three more moves from the sword manual. If there were things I couldn’t comprehend, Zhan Ji could tell at a glance where I was lacking.
Every time I mastered a move, Zhan Ji would give me a small golden Buddha flower. I happily strung it on the hilt of Yue Chun sword, and the golden light flowed around it, shining softly.
Because it is a kindness that I rarely receive, I cherish it even more.
Who isn’t a little girl who hasn’t grown up yet? Who wants to be a vicious and mediocre senior sister?
I fiddled with a petal of the golden Buddha flower, and in a trance I heard the sound of Buddha’s voice. I remembered the first time I saw him, spinning his beads and walking on the snow. He fixed my broken body for me, and said that I helped him a lot when I came.
“Little Master, what do you want me to do for you?”
There was a scarlet dot between his brows, his eyes were closed in silence, his eyelashes drooped, and the string of Buddhist beads in front of his chest was solemn and majestic. After a long time, he uttered lightly, just two words.
He said.
“Send me across.”
Buddha wants me to save him.
5
When Zhan Ji and I arrived at Cangjian Villa, it was already late.
Zhan Ji said goodbye to me temporarily, he will eventually return to Kongming Temple.
The huge white marble platform was crowded with disciples wearing various sect costumes. They were all full of vigor and vitality. I looked away, holding my sword and lazily leaning aside.
I was just closing my eyes and thinking about the relationship between my Yuechun Sword and this mountain villa, when I suddenly felt someone reaching out to push me. I subconsciously opened my eyes, and the Yuechun Sword sheath hit the man’s arm and face.
A wail of pain rang out, and I saw my junior fellow apprentice, whom I had not seen for a long time, covering his hands in pain, and then covering his face in pain. He looked so embarrassed that I wanted to laugh.
The junior brother has a name, Lu Xun, the eldest grandson of the Lu family, the young ancestor of the single-line inheritance. At the age of ten, he was detected to have spiritual talent and was accepted as an apprentice by the master. For many years, he ate, drank and had fun, but he still reached the golden elixir with his talent. According to him, if he doesn’t work hard to practice, he will return to the mortal world to become a prince.
I used to miss his young mentality, and he thought things were either black or white, which was also a kind of emotion. But when he confused black and white and used his emotion in the wrong way, it was as painful as a knife cutting his heart.
He probably didn’t expect that I, whose spiritual roots were destroyed and who had barely survived, could react so quickly.
Lu Xun recovered and straightened up despite the pain. He was wearing the blue robe with cloud patterns of the Changxu Sect disciples, but there was still a red mark on his face from being beaten, which was funny. He saw that I was standing here in one piece, and seemed to be relieved inadvertently, but he still frowned impatiently, still feeling disgusted.
“Why are you here too? Didn’t you lose your spiritual roots? Has the miasma entered your body and healed?” Seeing how healthy and energetic I was, he still added stubbornly, “You are lucky.”
Look, this is my good junior brother of five years. It turns out that they also know that people who have been stripped of their spiritual roots, entangled by miasma, and whose cultivation has been lost will most likely die if they go down the mountain in the snow.
I raised my eyebrows coldly: “What does it have to do with you?”
Lu Xun choked and said angrily, “If my junior sister hadn’t seen you coming and asked me to come over to say hello, do you think I would have said anything to a useless person like you?”
I followed his gaze and saw Chu Yao bowing to me from a distance, with a beautiful flower ornament between her brows.
I smiled at her, raised the Yuechun Sword and saluted from afar. The cold light of the half-exposed sword and the golden Buddha flower complemented each other. I said to her:
We will fight to the death.
I also have my own way, which is to take revenge and repay kindness.
Chu Yao’s face changed slightly, and the pearl hairpin on her hair shook. Before she spoke, Lu Xun became anxious. After all, he was cautious and didn’t push me again. His eyebrows that flew into his temples were raised in anger.
“Why are you pointing a sword at Junior Sister? She was so kind to ask me to come and see you. Did you know that she has already formed a golden elixir and become even more angry?”
Oh, so she has already reached the Golden Core, how fast. When I was in Changxu Sect, I practiced every day and night, always worried that with my talent, I would die of old age before I could reach the Golden Core.
This little noise attracted the attention of people nearby, and the whispers were mixed with “Yuechun” and “Chuyao”. When these two names collided together, it was definitely not a good thing.
But Lu Xun’s face turned pale, he broke out in sweat from the pain, and his right hand was so stiff that he couldn’t hold the sword.
I looked back. The white jade platform was high. Xie Changqing was sitting lazily on the railing with one leg bent. Behind him was the misty clouds rising from the universe. He liked to wear black clothes, and his sleeves were just right for the wind, moving slightly in the long wind. His eyebrows and eyes were more like paintings than mountains and rivers, but the red at the end of his eyes was tinged with hostility. He lowered his eyes and smiled, and there was a sense of sarcasm no matter how you looked at him.
“You’ve said everything in the world. You’re the ones who want to drive people away, you’re the ones who provoke us, and you’re the ones who want to show mercy.” The man looked down at Lu Xun’s painful expression with a cold smile on his face.
“——So sanctimonious.”
Bai Sui saw the chaos and realized that his junior fellow apprentice had gone to cause trouble again. He rushed over and saw the farce. He bowed and apologized to Xie Changqing, saying that Lu Xun had offended his senior and hoped that Xie Changqing would show mercy.
Xie Changqing smiled lazily, and lightly moved his long fingers, revealing a pale wrist from his sleeve.
Lu Xun finally felt better, and realized that Xie Changqing was very powerful and not easy to mess with. Bai Sui looked at me with an indistinguishable expression, and he was about to say something.
Then Xie Changqing sneered in a very sarcastic tone.
Bai Sui was about to take Lu Xun away.
I was ridiculed like this, but I no longer looked angry and sad as before, but I couldn’t help asking another question. I calmly asked Lu Xun: “You entered the sect when you were ten years old, but you established your foundation after only two years of practice. At that time, I even had difficulty in practicing Qi, but I was still happy for you. You don’t like to call me senior sister, but I really treat you as a junior brother. I watched the master of the next peak refine medicine for you for several days, and waited for him to refine the first batch of Anyuan Pills and give them to you eagerly. You are more likable than me, and everyone in the family likes you, but why didn’t I harm you or hate you at that time? You and Chu Yao are the same. Although I am mediocre, why do I hate her alone?”
Lu Xun’s face was already pale, and after hearing this, he probably remembered something. He stammered, but couldn’t say anything.
After they left, I slowly walked to the railing. The wind blew my hair, and I looked up at Xie Changqing.
“Look, I kept my word. I am not dead. I am alive and well.”
The last time we parted, I still remember he told me not to die before he saw me next time.
His smile was rarely cold, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise.
He raised his thin lips and said two words, but they were drowned out by the loud sound of the secret realm opening.
I turned around and saw everyone flying into the huge gap in the secret realm, their clothes fluttering. Before I could react, I was embraced in a warm embrace, and the tip of my nose was filled with the fragrance of pine and cypress. I looked up and saw Xie Changqing’s cold white chin, with a slight smile. The next moment, it was like a star passing through the sky, so fast that only the sound of the wind could be heard.
When I landed on the ground again, it was a completely different scene. There was a different world in the secret realm. I left Xie Changqing’s arms and looked around, only to find that there were only two of us. This secret realm should have been a place where people were randomly dispersed. There were only Xie Changqing and I at the landing point.
There is only one path from beginning to end here, and I was not sure where to go, so I turned back to ask Xie Changqing.
There was laziness on Xie Changqing’s brows again, and golden light flowed on his exquisite cuffs. He has always been a person who pays attention to his appearance, and at this moment, walking in this secret place that is said to be full of murderous intentions is like taking a leisurely stroll in the garden.
He raised his eyebrows slightly: “Just walk, do you still want me to hold you?”
I was choked by what he said, turned my head away and ignored him, then walked along the path.
The Yuechun Sword is getting hot again, and I vaguely feel that something is waiting for me, waiting for me to cut off my weakness and then go forward.
The scenery was really beautiful, with lakes on both sides and the water rippling. It was not a sunny day, but a big bright moon was hanging above, which was the quiet elegance of midnight. Purple flowers were dotted on both sides, and when I looked at Xie Changqing from the side, countless fireflies just rose behind him.
He looked over at me, and I subconsciously looked away.
Maybe it was because of the pleasant scenery, and I felt from the bottom of my heart that this secret place was as safe and intimate as my backyard. With the sound of unknown insects chirping, I asked in a mysterious way, “What are you doing here?”
This sentence is stupid. What does it have to do with you if they come here?
The tail of his eyes was raised, but he lowered them to look at me after hearing what I said. However, to my surprise, he answered slowly, “Cangjian Villa, I came here to look for the sword.”
He glanced at the sword in my hand.
I subconsciously replied, “Yuechun Jian asked me to come.”
“Yuechun Sword also taught you not to be possessed by the devil?
“Yuechunjian also taught you sword techniques?”
He pressed on, and if I took another step back I would fall into the purple flower pond. His eyes were as beautiful as black jade, but at this moment he lowered his voice, which was extremely seductive, and there was a hint of temptation on his pale face.
“Then–did Yuechunjian teach Yuechun to stay away from me?”
I had only heard of the name of Demon Lord Xie Changqing before. He was always normal in front of me, and seemed more upright than Lu Xun and Bai Sui. Now he was just a little too much, and his eyes had a lingering charm that swallowed everything.
When I was about to lose my balance and fall into the water, Xie Changqing reached out and supported me from behind my waist. My face was just a few inches away from his. He looked into my eyes, sneered, and said casually, “Little girl.”
He fooled me again.
Xie Changqing withdrew his hand and casually adjusted his sleeves. Some of his hair fell on his temples. His eyelashes grew long and curly under the moonlight, and a large group of fireflies danced behind him.
“Yuechun, I’m giving you a chance. You leave now and don’t go into the secret realm again. I’ve done so many bad things over the years and have been cursed. It’s rare for me to be a good person and avenge your master. Whoever dug up your spiritual roots, I’ll destroy his spiritual platform. Whoever makes you cry, I’ll make her cry until she goes blind. Whoever slanders you, insults you, or scolds you in this world, I’ll pay you back a thousand times with pain.”
“What if I don’t leave?”
“If you insist on taking this road filled with black blood, then you will have no choice but to join me in the abyss. Only those who can go crazy can survive.”
The wind blowing through the mist was light and I smiled with my lips curved: “Why are you so nice to me?”
Zhan Ji treats me well because I am the calamity in his fate.
But why does such a notorious demon king appear again and again?
Xie Changqing looked down at me, and the hatred that had arisen from some incident was blown away by the wind. He suddenly smiled, like a flower blooming in the moonlight on the water. He lowered his brows, and the moonlight gave him a rare touch of tenderness.
“Because you are, Yuechun.”
6
Xie Changqing came here indeed for a sword. The owner of Cangjian Villa and his wife made a pair of swords together, one of which was the Blade Snow Sword.
Xie Changqing raised his chin and said that it was originally his.
He didn’t tell me many reasons. But I already know that I have no parents since I was a child, and I have never been the apple of anyone’s eye. Now it seems that I have an inseparable connection with Cangjian Villa.
Xie Changqing and I walked side by side. We didn’t see any danger at every step, but we enjoyed the scenery along the way. Xie Changqing was not surprised, so I didn’t ask too much. When the Yuechun sword in my hand was getting hotter and hotter, and I could hardly hold it, I heard Xie Changqing say “We’re here”.
I was ready to watch Xie Changqing show off his skills to break the formation and seize the secret treasure, but I didn’t expect that he just made a gesture and the Snow Blade Sword slowly emerged. The Snow Blade Sword is three inches long, the blade is thick and simple, but the blade is as clear as snow. Xie Changqing’s distraction disappeared, and he held the sword in his palm again.
When he turned around, he saw my strange expression.
He laughed, “I hid it when I was a kid in a panic.”
The Yuechun Sword was no longer controllable and flew out, merging with the Renxue Sword, forming a perfect pair, the yin and yang of heaven and earth.
My head ached, as if a fire was burning in my brain. The illusion was rewoven before my eyes.
I saw slaves running back and forth to escape, and the beautiful purple flowers of Cangjian Villa being trampled and burned.
They cried and shouted that the patriarch was crazy. The patriarch was a great man in the world of cultivation. Who could stop him if he was possessed by the devil? He was still fleeing in a mess in the last second, but in the next second he was hit by a sharp and bloody sword and fell to the ground and died.
There was a graceful woman holding a baby girl in her arms, looking panic-stricken. Finally, she found a little boy of seven or eight years old hiding in the corner. With her hair disheveled and almost desperate, she instructed him to leave the baby girl and the Yuechun Sword at the foot of Changxu Mountain. If the Jade Pure Immortal on Changxu Mountain saw them, her child would be able to survive.
The child agreed, but he was short and it was very difficult for him to hold a sword after holding the baby girl. He had no choice but to throw his own sword into the weeds and guard it with a magic formula. It remained there for more than ten years.
The woman took one last look at her child. The baby girl was so small, and she would not be able to see her grow up. She clasped her hands together, determined to fight to the death with her mad husband, her former dearest partner, in order to pray for more time for her child to survive.
It turns out that I was once someone’s favorite. But my dearest mother died in vain under someone’s knife.
My head started to hurt again. When I woke up, I had the remaining half of Feng Laiwan’s Sword Art and a token in my mind, the token of the owner of Cangjian Villa. The remaining half of the volume made up for the lack of my spiritual roots, and I could use the spiritual power of heaven and earth when practicing the mental method.
Xie Changqing was looking at his Snow Blade Sword in the moonlight. The sword light was as silver as the moon. He turned his face halfway and a shadow fell on him.
I know so much now that I suddenly became silent.
Just as I was about to speak, I heard a voice that was very familiar to me.
She even called me Senior Sister, neither humble nor arrogant. Chu Yao stood by the water, the waves blowing her skirt. Lu Xun was nowhere to be seen, but Bai Sui stood on her left and right. The handsome man and beautiful woman made people feel extremely disgusted.
She laughed and I laughed too.
“What kind of senior sister am I to you?”
Chu Yao shook her head: “Even if Senior Sister was kicked out of the sect, she is still my Senior Sister.”
Although she was talking to me, her eyes were looking straight at Xie Changqing. When she saw the snow blade being played with by his pale fingertips, fear appeared on her face, but she still smiled and said, “I saw the sword in your hand before, and I liked it very much, but something delayed me, and I didn’t expect it to be in your hand. Opportunities are all about seeking an opportunity, and I am willing to exchange it with my heavenly-level skills.”
There was regret in his words. If it were someone else, it would have been replaced long ago since it was just a sword and not everyone was a sword practitioner.
Xie Changqing raised the corner of his lips lazily, and finally gave her a straight look. The snow-white sword became more beautiful in his hand. He said, “Is this sword yours?”
He raised his chin, his eyes showing a hint of arrogance: “There is still a half piece of useless spiritual jade missing from my sword slot. I heard that Fairy Chu Yao has a spiritual jade physique, I wonder if I can lend her the core to use.”
Chu Yao’s face turned pale instantly and she took half a step back. Her eyes were filled with pain as if she had heard something that made her extremely painful.
The last time I saw her face so pale was in the miasma forest under the cliff of Changxu Mountain. She had a clean body and could not bear the slightest foul air. I endured the burning and corrosive feeling of the black mist on my back and hugged her tightly in my arms. At that time, she was dying and cried rarely. She whispered that she was going to die, Senior Sister, she didn’t want to die. I said, okay. With my last breath, I sent her up.
I really don’t understand why Xie Changqing’s words seem more frightening than the demonic barrier under Changxu Mountain.
Bai Sui was originally looking at a purple water lily that was in full bloom by the lake. Hearing this, he turned to defend Chu Yao: “Senior, you have profound skills, and we don’t want to offend you. But you are going a bit too far. If you want my sister’s core, isn’t that asking for her life?”
Xie Changqing smiled slowly: “What is the difference between a spiritual root and a jade core? You took someone else’s spiritual root for nothing, so you should repay them with something. Cause and effect, isn’t this the law of fate that cultivation talks about?”
I stopped Xie Changqing and told him not to say any more, as if a fight started, his identity as a demon cultivator might be exposed.
I took a step forward. Chu Yao bit her lower lip, probably thinking that Xie Changqing’s words were what I meant, and said with a sense of determination: “Senior Sister, do you have to be so ruthless?”
I just said calmly, “If this matter is not resolved, I am afraid I will become obsessed with it.”
I pulled Xie Changqing up and turned to leave, but I heard Bai Sui behind me being silent for a moment and then saying, “You were not like this when I first met you.”
I turned around, and the Yuechun Sword moved as I pleased, flying towards him with a sound of breaking through the air. The Feng Laiwan Heart Sutra slowly circulated in my heart, and the millions of spiritual energies of Cangjian Villa flowed into my meridians in an invisible trajectory. Even though Bai Sui’s cultivation was already outstanding and he had reacted in an instant, the Yuechun Sword still left a bloody mark on his face, and his high-tied hair fell over one shoulder.
Who allowed him to judge me so condescendingly?
I chuckled, but every word I said was cruel.
“When I first met you, you were not like this. Let me think about it. How could you look so disgusting with your ragged clothes, pale face and skinny body? Who was the one kneeling on the ground begging for mercy, crying miserably, begging me to pick him up? Who was the one who lived with my mother in the village with the blood of a half-demon, but caused my mother to die a miserable death? It’s just a pity for the mortal mother. She never loved her son at all until her death, and kept him in captivity like a dog.
“——Let me think who this is. Oh, it’s you, Bai Sui.”
Who met for the first time in the heavy snow, but ended up becoming the people that each other hated the most.
He could hardly stand up straight, and the blood had disappeared from his lips. If someone had opened up the most painful part of his body, it would have been the hatred that had lasted for years.
Bai Sui said that because of his lowly half-demon bloodline, he was so hungry that he had to compete with dogs for food. Most of the disciples on the mountain were fasting and were unwilling to eat the food I cooked because it was too unpalatable. However, he always ate it all without changing his expression.
Before Bai Sui was diagnosed with a single water spirit root, he lived in the outer sect. I was busy with cultivation and didn’t visit him often. He also knew that he was a burden and didn’t bother me. The only time I went to see him with a bunch of freshly made osmanthus cakes, I saw him being bullied and isolated by the outer sect disciples. He lived in a straw hut in the snow. He raised his face, his long eyebrows were covered with snow, and his mouth was frozen blue. He trembled and said that one day, he would stand on everyone’s shoulders and no longer be bullied by others.
I hugged him and said okay.
Now he is the most outstanding disciple of Jade Purity Immortal and the best person of this generation in the Changxu sect. No one dares to laugh at him because of his half-demon bloodline, and everyone is adding to his honor.
But not me. My hatred can only be appeased if he kneels down and cuts off one of his arms.
7
Xie Changqing picked up a water lotus and placed it in his palm. I had been preparing my emotions for a long time, but I finally asked him.
“What is my relationship with this Cangjian Villa?”
Xie Changqing was staring at the flowers, but when he heard me he glanced at me and said, “Didn’t you see everything? Did you forget about your mind after you got the Heart Sutra?”
He stretched out the words lazily, and couldn’t help but teasing: “The eldest and the youngest lady of Cangjian Villa.”
“What about you? Who are you?” I suddenly had an idea and stared at him with tears in my eyes, “Are you my long-lost brother?”
Xie Changqing paused, but suddenly curved his lips into a smile, just like a silver moon breaking through the water, with spots of light flashing across.
“That’s not the case. I’m your child-rearing husband, my good sister.”
Now it was my turn to be speechless. Seeing his affectionate look in his eyes, I froze in silence.
“If it weren’t for the incident at the villa, I’m afraid you and I would have children already.” He sighed.
I became increasingly terrified.
Xie Changqing raised his eyebrows, lowered his voice, narrowed his eyes slightly, and his tone was very threatening, with an upward tone at the end: “What? Don’t want to? Huh?”
He pressed forward, his inky black hair flying in disarray.
“The Yuechun Sword in your hand is made from my ribs. You don’t have to acknowledge it. Just leave the Yuechun Sword here.”
I hugged the Yuechun Sword to my chest, took a step back, and stared at him.
Xie Changqing laughed loudly, half covering his eyes, his lips curved nicely, his shoulders trembling with laughter. He was indeed the Demon Lord, his nerves were more peculiar than others.
He put his hand down, no trace of smile in his eyes anymore, and said, “Okay, I won’t tease you anymore.
“You know, if you take the master’s order of Cangjian Villa out, it will definitely cause a big uproar.”
“I know.”
“Do you know that it was not accidental that your father, the leader of Cangjian Villa, became obsessed with swordsmanship, and that the destruction of Cangjian Villa was also not a coincidence?”
“I know.”
“You know, this road is bound to be bumpy. I have been working on it for many years, but I have no choice but to become a demon. Even though I am only one step away from success, it is still a road of death.”
“I know.”
He clapped his hands and smiled, then whispered, “Okay.”
No one expected that a sudden change would occur when leaving the secret realm. All the flowers withered, and demonic energy surged up from the exit of the secret realm. It was extremely poisonous, and the cries of thousands of ghosts could be faintly heard beneath the unfathomable demonic energy.
Many disciples of the cultivation world crushed the talismans to transmit messages, but they found out with pale faces that the message could not be transmitted at all.
Someone cried out, “It must be the Demon Lord Xie Changqing! Apart from him, who else could have such a strong demonic aura?”
Before he could finish his words, a nightmare in the evil spirit had quietly sneaked up to him and swallowed his head in one gulp.
A moment ago, everyone was happy about their harvest and preparing to leave, but who could have imagined that they would be in such a miserable state a moment later. The voices cursing Xie Changqing continued.
I turned to look at Xie Changqing beside me. His eyebrows were indifferent and there was no change. He just pointed his finger and pushed the backs of those who had cursed the most harshly. They were almost falling into the abyss but did not fall. They were scared to death and could not even curse. They could only cry.
I have heard of Xie Changqing’s many evil deeds, but now I don’t know what to say. He probably doesn’t need my sympathy.
He pushed my head back and whispered in my ear: “There are people in the great sects of cultivation who deserve to be called the Demon Lord more than me, but they always use my name to cause trouble. What a painted-leather face.”
When there is chaos, someone must stand up. Bai Sui was no longer as fragile as before. He cut off the demon formed by the devil energy with a sword, commanded everyone to retreat in an orderly manner, and ordered the disciples and elders who had the secret skills of the tribe to send messages with their spiritual consciousness. Lu Xun was next to Chu Yao, protecting her tightly.
It’s no use just retreating. I feel sad too. After all, Cangjian Villa is my home where I have never lived for a single day. How could it be contaminated by evil spirits?
Moreover, this evil spirit was not as cold and gloomy as Xie Changqing’s, but was filled with the smell of blood and fishy odor, just like what Zhan Ji and I smelled when we got married that day, dirty and smelly.
“This is not a dead end. There is life everywhere.” Xie Changqing spoke behind me, and my slightly confused heart calmed down.
Many cultivators have already faced the evil spirit, their sleeves have been corroded, and they gritted their teeth to leave a chance for their companions to survive.
The rift in the abyss was still expanding, as if a long-dormant beast was finally about to reappear in the world. I was just about to face the evil spirit and practice my newly learned sword skills. Xie Changqing didn’t want to reveal his identity, so he looked at me from a distance.
I had just killed a nightmare beast, but when I turned around, I saw an evil dragon formed by demonic energy roaring towards Chu Yao, drooling all over the ground. It was so fast and eager. It should have been the most refined part of the demonic energy in the abyss, but it stuck its head out towards Chu Yao with greed.
No one expected that when everyone reacted, the evil dragon’s big mouth was already next to Chu Yao.
It was as if no one could have expected that Chu Yao, who was whispering with Lu Xun in the previous second, would push Lu Xun out to ward off disaster in the next second.
Her skirt was beautiful and light, and the light gauze was beautiful and light in the past, but now it was splashed with blood. It turned out that half of Lu Xun’s body was already in the mouth of the magic dragon.
He was convulsing in pain, but his face was blank, as if he hadn’t reacted yet. He shouted with difficulty and confusion: “Chu…Yao…?”
The black mist climbed up the rocks like a crawling worm, corroding his skin, and he finally realized, oh, Junior Sister pushed him out. Pain and disbelief intertwined on his face.
The wandering dragon was vicious and was about to retreat back to the abyss with him in its mouth. It happened to pass by me. With Yuechun in my hand, I looked at the dragon’s eye and stabbed it with my sword with all my strength.
Lu Xun was thrown to the ground. The evil dragon felt pain, but was afraid of the pure air on my sword. The golden Buddha flower sword tassel blew a faint Buddhist air, and the evil dragon finally turned into evil energy and went back. But what should I do with this monstrous evil energy? It seemed to be endless, cut off and gathered, endlessly.
The golden Buddha flower bloomed at my fingertips. I looked up and finally saw who it was. Zhan Ji had also come. The young master had always been clean. Even in such an environment, he remained calm and dressed neatly. During the time that the relic was out for a while, the evil spirit was purified a lot.
I was still in the mood to joke with him: “Little Master, demons are also a kind of common people, so Buddha should treat these demonic spirits equally.”
I saw him staring at me, so I wiped his face with my backhand and found it was covered in blood.
Zhan Ji stretched out his hand and gently stroked the corner of my eye. There was blood on his thumb and a red spot between his eyebrows. The little master lowered his eyes.
“Miss Yue, I am not a Buddha yet.”
The next moment, evil energy gathered and bit his hand, withering more than ten golden Buddha flowers.
I turned around and saw Xie Changqing. He had a sneer on his lips and was looking at me from a distance.
The golden Buddha flower floated up again, and the evil spirits on both sides were eliminated. The young master whispered, “Miss Yue, I had a dream in the illusion.”
It was the first time I saw Zhan Ji smile like waves and clouds. He did not look like he was showing pity for the world. He was no longer an outsider.
I also want to ask what that dream was.
He looked at the blood on his fingertips and said only: “You have a small mole under your eye.”
In fact, it is not difficult to solve the evil spirit. Just reunite the cracks. With the cooperation of Zhan Ji and Bai Sui, the disaster was barely eliminated, but many rookies died after all.
I fell back to the ground, and the devil blood that slid off the tip of the sword fell to the ground. Chu Yao was now hugging Lu Xun and using her spiritual power to heal her wounds. Lu Xun pushed her away, and all the blood was gone. He called me hoarsely: “Senior Sister——”
I didn’t stop, not even for a moment.
He refused to call me senior sister before, and he doesn’t need to do that anymore.
I knelt down weakly when I was alone, holding on to the Yuechun Sword to avoid fainting. The places attacked by the evil spirit hurt more than when I was at the foot of the Changxu cliff, and the nausea penetrated into my bones.
A pine-scented embrace came over me. Xie Changqing half-knelt and lifted my chin with one hand. His thumb wiped the blood off my face. He chuckled and came closer, almost kissing my eyelids. He whispered, “Well done.”
8
Xie Changqing pressed me into Cangjian Villa to practice his mental skills, but when I swung my sword, he couldn’t help but frowned his handsome brows.
He took the Yuechun Sword and casually made a sword flower. The moonlight was like a silk thread, and his sword was full of light, like a swimming dragon. When he moved, it was as if he was the only one who could be seen in the world. After he finished the demonstration, he half turned sideways, with outstanding eyebrows and eyes, but he couldn’t help but disdain: “Do you understand?”
I smiled awkwardly and nodded. The truth was that no one had ever taught me systematically. I often felt that my master was strange. He picked me up because of the Yuechun Sword, but he always avoided me when I used the sword, as if he didn’t want to see anything. Naturally, he wouldn’t give me too much guidance on how to use the sword.
Xie Changqing told me that time was running out, as the World Competition would be held in half a month. He wanted me to participate in the competition as the owner of Cangjian Villa. The World Competition was originally a competition among the younger generation.
It’s not that he wants me to become famous. As Xie Changqing said, he is afraid that I will die silently again.
There must be a grand occasion to tell the world that the Cangjian Villa, which was destroyed for unknown reasons more than ten years ago, still has a descendant.
I looked up at him and asked, “Who is it?”
He stared at me for a while, looked away, and said casually, “He will definitely show up at the competition that day. Whoever you see looks the most sanctimonious will be the winner.”
Although Xie Changqing often smiled and mocked me in front of me, he was born with a graceful and elegant appearance. Over time, I almost forgot that he was a demon cultivator, and the Changqing Demon Lord who was feared by everyone in the cultivation world.
I noticed something was wrong in the middle of the night. After I was woken by the cold, I discovered that the villa was so cold as if it was covered with three layers of snow. I circulated my true Qi, but still couldn’t help the chattering of my teeth. I picked up the Yuechun Sword and walked all the way. The road was covered with frost and snow, and even the moon was unwilling to show its head.
The closer I got to the pond, the colder it got. All the flowers were frozen and withered. When I got to the pond, I realized that this was the demonic energy that escaped from the barrier that Xie Changqing cast.
I took out the Yuechun Sword and slashed the barrier several times before I made a hole. Then I went in. A thick black gas as sticky as thick ink was sinking down, the sound of the wind was like a knife, and an extremely cold “get out” was heard.
I was so shocked that my heart ached, but I sighed and finally went into the water.
Xie Changqing was in the center of the pond, his black hair spreading like a waterfall. The pond was originally covered with lotus flowers, but now they were so withered that not even the powder could be seen. I was severely disturbed by the evil spirit, and my meridians were aching. Although Xie Changqing told me to get out, I clearly felt that the last bit of sobriety retained in the madness of this overwhelming evil spirit was trying to keep the evil spirit away from me.
Who would have known that this famous demon king was so tough on the outside but so soft on the inside?
I got closer to see more clearly. Thousands of ghost heads appeared on Xie Changqing’s pale skin, and it looked like they were gnawing at his flesh. His lips were too red, and there was a storm about to form in his eyes.
He probably felt embarrassed, so he turned his eyes away in embarrassment, gritted his teeth, and uttered a word coldly with this ferocious look.
“roll–“
I also know that I shouldn’t have come, but I think it must not feel good to be alone and being devoured by thousands of ghosts. It would be better if there was someone to accompany me.
I hugged him gently. I thought he was indestructible, but Xie Changqing was also trembling slightly.
The closer I got to him, the more pain I felt. There was already a fishy-sweet taste in my throat. So what about him? How much pain was he in?
Xie Changqing paused, his hanging black hair fell on the water, creating ripples.
“Look, this is the demon you don’t want to be, the demon you righteous people have always despised. Do you feel sick when you see it with your own eyes?”
Xie Changqing has always been proud, but in the Lotus Pond under the moonlight, he coldly called himself disgusting.
The world cursed him and cursed him, and hundreds of ghosts and demons devoured him. He walked in darkness for many years, but could only step back unconsciously for a hug, revealing his most unbearable appearance with blood all over his body.
He almost lost all his dignity, and asked the girl he had been waiting for for so many years, is it disgusting?
I didn’t answer, I just asked: “Does it hurt?”
The ghost head smelled the scent of a stranger and came closer with a greedy look. Xie Changqing regained his senses, sneered, and made a gesture to kill the ghost. The ghost head continued to attack, but eventually it ran out of energy and smoothly clung back to the body, revealing skin as white and smooth as jade.
The evil spirit is still surging, but it has already taken shape.
Xie Changqing pushed me in front of him, within a few feet of me. His black hair, which had fallen into the water, was stained with his face. His lips were red, and even the small mole under his eye had a bewitching beauty. His clothes were half undressed, and the water flowed from his face to his throat, all the way down, and finally fell back into the pool. Our noses touched, and he looked down at my lips hesitantly, and his breath just landed on my face.
It is the madness of a desperate person after he is reborn.
There were night lotuses floating in Xie Changqing’s eyes, and a color darker than the night beneath them. He whispered against the corner of my lips, but his voice was faint.
“You shouldn’t have come.”
I hummed softly. His hand touched the back of my neck, and for a moment I thought he was going to strangle me to death, as if he was trying to eliminate my only weak spot.
But in the end he just held the back of my neck, and his lips finally touched mine with those of mine. He was clumsy and reckless, but he sucked and bit me wantonly.
I thought it was dewdrops on the leaves flowing under my eyes, but who would have thought it was actually a tear shed by Xie Changqing.
The demon king was holding his little girl and crying.
9
When the world competition started, I arrived a little late.
The real person holding the pen and taking notes slowly announced the names of the sects participating in the competition, including Yaotai Sect, Kongming Temple, Changxu Sect, and several small and medium-sized sects.
Yuechun Sword arrived earlier than me. The sword pierced through mountains and seas and smashed into the jade platform with irresistible momentum. It was said that the jade platform, which had been indestructible for a thousand years, was cracked into a big hole.
I smiled and said, “Cangjian Villa, Yuechun.”
The sound was clear, just enough to split the noise in half.
The Jade Platform was built at the Yaotai Sect, and the flying snow was lingering. Everyone was silent for a moment along with the snow.
I raised my eyes and looked directly at Gao Xi without fear, wondering which of these immortal-looking faces was the painted skin.
Right in the middle was the leader of the Yaotai Sect, a middle-aged and elegant man, who was surprised for a moment. Next to him was the master. I don’t know if it was because of my blurred vision, but the master’s white hair was almost transparent. He looked at my young appearance standing in the snow, and it suddenly occurred to him that he had seen someone through time, and his face became old.
I bowed forward again, landing with a sound, and repeated, “Cangjian Villa, Yuechun.”
Who would have thought that the Cangjian Villa, which had been wiped out for more than ten years, could reappear?
Someone chuckled, breaking the silence. Chu Yao spoke from my side, “Could it be that Senior Sister has been possessed by a demon and has lost her mind? Hidden Sword Villa was destroyed many years ago.”
I didn’t bother to look at her, and took out the dark purple manor owner’s order from my sleeve. Then everyone started to make an uproar, and whispers could be heard everywhere.
I went to draw lots, and I happened to draw the sign of Chu Yao from Changxu Sect. It is always the case that enemies meet on a narrow road.
I had never fought with Chu Yao before, but everyone said that she had a physique of spiritual jade and was born beautiful. But I didn’t expect that she was quite afraid of my sword energy. She trembled badly as soon as my sword energy passed by. The genius of cultivation was actually not as good as the senior sister who was known for her mediocrity. Such a contrast caused a second wave of uproar.
Chu Yao originally used the white silk forged from a rare treasure, but after she activated the Feng Lai Wan Heart Technique, the clear light of the Yue Chun Sword mercilessly tore the white silk apart, and Chu Yao fell to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood. When the Yue Chun Sword stopped, it happened to be pointing at Chu Yao’s slender neck.
I had never seen such a hateful look. Chu Yao was trembling uncontrollably and looked extremely embarrassed. She raised her face and looked at me with gritted teeth.
I pointed the tip of my sword, but I felt regretful: “The so-called golden elixir, a person without even a single spiritual root can’t even resist three moves.”
She was obviously extremely scared, her eyes were slightly red, but she still called out the word “senior sister”.
Yue Chunjian moved closer, forcing her to stop calling him that disgusting. I said calmly, “If we follow the hierarchy of cultivators, you must call me Master Yue Manor.”
I retracted my sword, and Yue Chun’s sword fell with clear snow water. The people around me were originally laughing at Fairy Chu Yao for not living up to her reputation, but someone said something in a veiled way: “It’s probably because Master Yue had hurt Fairy Chu Yao so much in the past that she is so scared.”
I just looked over there.
Then I heard a cold laugh: “Who the hell are you to say that about my senior sister?”
It was Lu Xun who spoke for me. I looked over in surprise. He was sitting in a wheelchair with nothing on his legs. He subconsciously tried to cover up his defect. But I knew that the evil spirit was hard to get rid of and his legs would probably never get better. He pursed his lips, looked pleading in his eyes, and called me “Senior Sister”.
Chu Yao had already stood up, covering her wound. She hurriedly called out “Senior Brother Xun”, but Lu Xun didn’t even give her a look of disgust. After experiencing the experience of life and death, who can know what true love is.
I looked at him calmly and repeated it to him word for word.
“What senior sister? She is such a vicious person, she doesn’t deserve to be called that!
“You knew that she had a pure jade physique, but you still caused her to fall into the miasma. How dare you call yourself the senior sister of Changxu Sect?”
I told him again the words he had said to me as if it were a joke. His face turned pale and he felt as painful as when the dragon bit his legs.
I’ll leave these crazy words for him to chew on. No matter how much pain I felt back then, you can only feel a fraction of it no matter how much you look back on it now.
He was speechless, trying to articulate the words, but his words were confusing and he could not make out the meaning: “… It was not my intention, and I don’t know why it happened. Senior sister… Please believe me, I don’t know, I don’t know why I did this.”
The boy, who had been having smooth sailing all the way, was pushed out by his beloved junior sister to block the knife and lost both legs. The boy’s mind finally became less reckless and naive. Now when he thinks about it, he feels endless regret and he finally lowers his head.
“Sister, I’m sorry.”
I smiled: “You don’t need to apologize. I am no longer your senior sister.”
I turned to leave, but I heard a stumbling sound. Lu Xun fell in the snow. The arrogant young master in the past actually shed tears in the snow, losing fifteen years of dignity. He called me almost pleadingly: “Senior Sister.”
If I look back, I can see the frustrated young man, the onlookers enjoying themselves, Chu Yao leaning on the stage in despair and embarrassment, and Bai Sui holding his sword in silence.
But I will never look back.
I walked forward, the snow fell slowly, and a monk in a cassock happened to look up, and his eyes fell gently on me. I knew clearly that I was just a speck of dust in his eyes, but it seemed as if I was everything in his eyes in an instant.
Zhan Ji smiled: “Miss Yue.”
I bowed lightly and said, “Little Master.”
His eyes fell on the hilt of my sword, which still had a few golden Buddha flowers hanging on it, and he continued, “The spiritual jade physique is originally pure and good. It’s a pity that the jade heart is not pure. It is probably the leftover scraps of some pure jade, which gave rise to evil thoughts and lost its purity. It only has the talent of bewitching.”
He stopped talking and said no more. I looked at him in amazement. There was a relic on his ear, swaying gently in the wind.
Zhan Ji shouldn’t be like this. Talkative and bad words should not come out of his mouth, because he is the Lord of the Clouds, the God on the Monument, and his mind is clear and bright.
I smiled slightly and thanked him.
I hesitated and asked, “Little Master, what was your dream that day?”
Zhan Ji looked at me, a little snow fell on his forehead, and the deep red mark softened a little. He said, “I might.”
What did you learn? I want to ask.
Who knew that the little snake coiled on my arm would bite me very ferociously.
I can only leave.
I used to wonder why Chu Yao disliked me so much, and why she was so afraid of my sword. The real divine jade was invulnerable to swords and spears, but the little bit of half-real and half-fake spiritual jade was as fragile as white paper when facing the edge of the Yuechun sword.
But this is not enough, there must be other reasons.
In order not to be too conspicuous, Xie Changqing followed me in and turned into a small snake on my wrist.
His lazy voice echoed in my heart: “Yuechun, do you understand? Your husband is still with you, but you are flirting with other men.”
I was so angry that I wanted to twist him: “Young Master is a monk, what nonsense are you talking about?”
He sneered, “A monk. Whether he wants to be a monk or not is just a matter of his own decision, right?”
I rolled my eyes, but a young disciple came up to me and said that several powerful people from the sect wanted to see me.
There were only three people sitting in the room, one was the master, he had his eyes downcast and I didn’t know what he was thinking. Another was Master Kongming of Kongming Temple, he had his eyes closed and looked like an old man. In the middle sat the head of Yaoguang Sect, Dongya Daojun, he looked elegant, he waved at me and sighed, “Lingwu’s child has grown up so big.”
Lingwu is my father’s name, which has been a taboo in the cultivation world for many years.
The master immediately raised his eyes and fixed them on me. His voice was cold, but contained a firmness that could not be denied: “It’s Honeysuckle’s child.”
My mother named me Honeysuckle, a really beautiful name. She also named my sword Yuechun.
Taoist Dongya smiled and said, “After so many years, you still can’t let go of this relationship. You are obviously practicing the ruthless way, but you have been reminiscing about the past for so many years, and your cultivation has been declining year by year. After so many years, you kept it a secret so well that I didn’t even know that you had raised Jindong’s child for so many years.”
I sighed in my heart. It turns out that the reason why Master accepted me was not just because the Yuechun Sword was a rare and good sword in the world, but because I was the child of my mother, Rendong. He looked after me every day, and saw that I looked more and more like my mother. He didn’t like my father, but he had to keep me by his side, even if it meant stopping his cultivation. Could it be that even a person as indifferent as Master had feelings that he couldn’t let go of?
But I am the child of Rendong and Lingwu.
“She looks a lot like Honeysuckle, but her talent is mediocre.”
I became angry for no reason, but reason controlled me. I shouldn’t be angry. It was just that the disappointment in his tone reminded me of the past. I sneered and said, “You stripped my spiritual roots. Now I don’t have any qualifications.”
Master’s white hair fell to his knees. He looked at me coldly and said, “Nothing can be built without destruction. You have such good fortune only after your spiritual roots were removed. With your original aptitude, you should have been able to build a foundation in your lifetime. Your mother’s skills have been wasted, and you are bringing shame to Honeysuckle.”
It turned out that he knew I was innocent but just stood by and watched.
I treated him like a teacher and a father, but he just saw me as a burden.
He wants me to be strong-minded so he can hurt and pierce me.
He practiced the Way of No Mercy, and the world was just a grain of sand on his path. He thought that others were the same.
I was shivering with cold, and I curled my lips to speak in a way that was unpleasant to the ear: “Now I know why my mother doesn’t want you anymore. How can a person who practices the path of ruthlessness understand the love of the human world?”
I didn’t know their story, but I could guess a little from what I saw in the illusion. I said something sarcastic to him, but Master’s face changed and he covered his heart with his white fingertips. Dongya Daojun gave him air with his backhand and praised me casually, saying that I knew how to stab my Master the most painfully.
He is ruthless, but he has been in love for more than ten years and cannot cut it off. It’s really pitiful.
I walked out and it was snowing again.
Xie Changqing sighed helplessly. He turned into a spring breeze in winter and wiped away the tears on my face: “Crybaby.”
I touched her with my fingertips and found that she was crying again. I shook my head and whispered, “He knows everything.”
I hated my master so much for being like this. He wanted me to reach a great realm, so he knew I was innocent and upright, he knew I treated him like a teacher and a father, he knew so many things, but he still had the heart to watch me being scolded by the world and having my wrists pierced. Now when I think of the day when I was expelled from the sect, when all my meridians were damaged and I walked down more than ten thousand jade steps one by one, I feel as sad as an idiot.
How ridiculous.
He pecked my wrist.
“Don’t cry, I can’t hold you now.”
10
The mountains and rivers have changed, and it has been cloudy and rainy.
Cracks reappeared on the cliffs of Changxu Mountain, and demonic energy was spewed out. Hundreds of ghosts passed through the human world, and countless lives were lost. Countless corpses piled up into a mountain. Disciples from all the major sects were sent out to lead the cleanup, but they also suffered heavy losses.
I remembered that a few months ago Zhan Ji said “the common people will be in trouble”, who would have thought that his words would come true.
But no one could have expected that Changxu Sect, one of the three major sects, would disappear as quickly as Cangjian Villa.
Someone opened the sect’s mountain-guarding formation and let in all the demons. Only a small number of disciples were left in the sect, and the rest followed the eldest brother Bai Sui to kill demons. Unfortunately, Jade Purity Immortal was not there, and the elders in the sect were only those who were not good at fighting. After several layers of mountain-guarding formations were opened, all the demons came in with a smile, eroded everything, and devoured all the disciples. The demons were cunning, and smiled and pretended to be the disciples who were eaten. When the other disciples came back, they showed their stinky mouths and swallowed people’s heads while talking.
In the panic, more than half of them were killed or injured. Some people said that the extermination of Changxu Sect was not that simple. This matter was probably planned by Yuqing Zhenren of Changxu Sect. Some disciples saw him possessed by a demon. The chaos in the world was caused by him. He had made no progress in his cultivation for many years and had lost his mind and gone mad.
When the Changxu formation was opened, I felt something in my heart, and I hurried over on my sword, but I was a little late. Every inch of the thousands of jade steps was covered in blood. Xie Changqing smiled and said, “This reminds me of the glory of me destroying the Taiqing Sect after I became a demon. Just like now, every inch is covered in blood. No matter how heavy the snow is, it can’t cover the black blood on the ground.”
I knew he wanted me to stop being afraid, but I turned my head away, thought for a moment and asked, “Why did you want to wipe out the entire Taiqing clan?”
He paused, the wind and snow brushed his temples, and he spoke calmly: “I was born with a sword body. They captured me and kept me there for ten years, unable to move all day. They were afraid that I would escape, so the chains went through my bones and flesh. The swords used by each of their disciples were placed inch by inch in my chest, soaked in blood, and refined. The Taiqing Sect is full of rubbish and cannot practice. I am extremely talented, and the head of the sect took me in as his eldest disciple with pity, to bring honor to the Taiqing Sect. He said that he was just refining the sword, but it was just to make some contributions to the sect that raised me since childhood.
“Unfortunately, I grew up too fast, and they couldn’t suppress me anymore. The useless leader of Taiqing Sect listened to someone above him, and every inch of my bones were smashed and recast into someone’s sword bones. My spirit was still alive, and I finally became possessed by the devil under the cliff of Changxu Mountain. At that time, I thought, it’s over, I look so ugly, how can I be a child husband who uses his beauty to serve others. So I hated them even more, and the blood of Taixu Sect has not been drained out for three days. But my bones are gone, and there must be someone behind Taiqing.”
Xie Changqing turned around, smiling with pain hidden in his face, his eyes filled with hatred: “Karma pays for itself, isn’t that right?”
I looked at him, and he stared at me, not wanting to miss any change in my expression.
I stood on tiptoe, wiped the snow from the corners of his eyes, and nodded seriously: “It should be. Tong Yangfu is right.”
When I reached Changxu Mountain, the sect collapsed, but there were still a few demons circling around that were reluctant to leave, so I killed them easily.
After all, it’s not a comfortable feeling to see the place where I grew up in a mess.
Turning the corner, he unexpectedly ran into Lu Xun. At first he did not recognize him. How could such a young man who had enjoyed so much glory be in such a state of disgrace? He was almost crazy. But who could remain sober after witnessing his fellow disciples being slaughtered?
He probably has a memory disorder.
Whenever I see someone, I shout, “Have you seen my senior sister? Have you seen my senior sister?”
The hair was disheveled and the appearance was in a state of disarray. There were not many people alive in the sect. When he saw me, his mad appearance suddenly subsided. The senior sister who had just called me smoothly opened her mouth for a long time when she saw me, and couldn’t even utter a word.
He didn’t dare to shout anymore, and probably felt he had no face to shout anymore.
He just remembered that he looked awkward, and after a long while he spoke with great difficulty, his eyes full of hatred: “Junior Sister – Chu Yao, that bitch, opened the mountain protection formation and let the demon in.”
Although Lu Xun is young, he is very proud of himself. I have never seen him cry. He turned his head and looked at the broken limbs and bodies on the ground. They were all his former fellow disciples. He cried silently.
“Sister, I’m sorry, Senior Sister. I beg you, Senior Sister, please let me call you Senior Sister one more time. I won’t fight with you anymore. I won’t fight for anything. I used to hate your mediocre and boring talent. I didn’t want to call you Senior Sister just because you entered the sect. I blame Master for always paying more attention to you. It’s all my fault. I don’t know why we ended up like this.”
Lu Xun’s youthful spirit was shattered.
Someone called me. It was Bai Sui. He stood on the high steps, his sword still dripping with black blood, his hair all messy. He was very tired, but he couldn’t retreat. The master disappeared, and he was the backbone of the Changxu Sect. He pursed his lips and said, “I’m sorry.”
Bai Sui is very good at judging the situation, and I often wonder if I am really too bad that he doesn’t even have the money to say a word in my defense.
Xie Changqing sneered, “Could it be that you hurt people sincerely, but you only need to apologize with a few words?”
Bai Sui gritted his teeth and used his left hand to hold the sword. A flash of cold light flashed, and the next moment his right arm fell to the ground. He was sweating from the pain, and turned to look at me with tears in his eyes: “Back then, this hand pierced your wrist with the sword, and now this evil arm is broken.”
I was silent. I didn’t say it was good, nor did I say it was bad. As for the people who grew up with me, some were crazy, some were disabled. How bad luck must I have to encounter such a thing.
Xie Changqing silently blocked the wind and snow for me.

It is said in the world that Jade Pure Immortal has gone mad and has been setting up a plan for many years to kill all living beings to prove his ruthlessness.
I shook my head and said that it shouldn’t be like this, it should be someone else.
Xie Changqing counted on his fingers and slowly calculated with me: the jade body of the young master of Cangjian Villa, the bones in the sword he lost, the map of mountains, rivers and all things, the essence and blood of all women in the world, and the ruthless heart of the master, what exactly is it when added together?
He sneered and said, some people want to become immortals, but first they become possessed by the devil, spend decades setting up a plan, and in the end they drag all living beings to be buried with them.
Xie Changqing presented me with the Yuechun Sword: “Master Yue has now avenged his family and country.”
I was a little nervous: “But I’m still a sucker.”
Xie Changqing smiled with his lips bent: “What are you afraid of, Master? You still have an omnipotent husband.”
I found Chu Yao first.
My Yuechun sword pierced her body and nailed her to the ground.
Even though she was made of inferior spiritual jade, she was still jade after all, and was weak when mixed with demons.
I looked at her in confusion: “Changxu Sect treated you so well, why did you open the gate and betray the enemy?”
Chu Yao smiled sadly, she gritted her teeth and said, “But I have no choice. If you hadn’t interfered, I could have lived a happy life with my master and fellow apprentices in Changxu Sect. If it weren’t for you, if it weren’t for you, I would have had a rift with them. I could have lived a happy life.”
I smiled and asked her one question at a time.
“Did I ask you to push your fellow apprentice brother out to ward off disaster?
“Did I ask you to open the mountain gate to meet the enemy and beg for mercy?
“Did I let you associate with the filthiest demons?”
I looked at her coldly, with complete disdain: “Tell me, do I give in to you?”
With every question I asked, her face turned paler, as if every sentence revealed her miserable state.
I still remember the day she entered the mountain gate, her temperament was pure, and the disciples of Changxu Sect all came to see this talented beauty. She smiled shyly and said her name was Chu Yao. After all, it was very different from the current appearance of being buried in the mud and hiding resentment.
She struggled, but was powerless to break free, and finally collapsed in the mud. She murmured, “But there is nothing I can do, Senior Sister. I am the spiritual stone that is the companion of the Yuechun Sword. If the sword wants to be sharpened, it must cut through my body piece by piece. I also have spiritual consciousness.”
She suddenly laughed heartily, her voice sticky: “Senior sister, do you know how your father became possessed? The adults gave me the ability to increase my ability to bewitch people by a hundred times. Your father forged a sword for you. Every time he used the Yuechun sword to test the strength on my original name Lingyu, I felt so painful and hated him so much that I bewitched him a thousand times. Day after day, the day when the Yuechun sword was finally forged, my Lingyu finally couldn’t stand the strength of the Yuechun sword and shattered. At that moment, your father lost his mind.
“My dear senior sister, the Yuechun Sword you’ve always dreamed of is the culprit that killed your father who loved you so much.”
She was about to die, yet she still said such disgusting words. Anger and sadness mixed together in my chest.
I pointed the tip of my sword at her heart, where her birthstone, Jade, was.
“Chu Yao, I once sincerely regarded you as my junior sister.”
Chu Yao frowned, looking sarcastic and sneered, “Do you think I don’t know? That day in the miasma forest, I really treated you as my sister. I was also protected in your arms, listening to the sound of miasma corroding your back, sister, it was really cold that day. Do you think everyone in Changxu Sect likes me? Only you, sister, love me. I was moved by you, but after that, I hated you even more. Who allowed you to be so pure and passionate? It makes me look even more unbearable.
“My good senior sister, Lingyu, has no heart.”
At the moment when my sword was about to fall, Chu Yao cried out with tears in her eyes: “Senior Sister, I just want to live, is that wrong?”
The spiritual jade was broken, the grudges were paid off, and that was all.
I smiled and said, “That’s wrong.”
Who is the master? I only got Dong’s information from Chu Yao. After tracing all the way, I found that it was the magic cave that Zhan Ji and I had stayed in.
Xie Changqing couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed when he heard what I said about what happened in the Demon Cave. He said in a sarcastic tone, “Your child foster husband hasn’t even put on red yet, but you’ve already taken off the monk’s veil.”
I couldn’t help but have a headache. It’s very difficult to raise a husband with a child at home. I pecked him lightly on the lips, and then he looked better.
As we walked along, we realized that the mountains and rivers were all scarred. The corpses piled up like mountains, and the land was consuming spiritual energy.
As a result, the Demon Lord Xie Changqing tied me up several times with a smile, drew more than a dozen small barriers himself, picked up his Snow Blade Sword, and walked away with a very handsome back.
He said, let the boy go and fight and kill, and the lady of the manor can just sit back and enjoy the results.
I gritted my teeth in hatred and couldn’t help shedding tears.
I knew he would just try to show off.
By the time I untied these messy formations and rushed over with the Yuechun Sword, the Demon Cave had already been razed to the ground. There was so much blood on the ground that I didn’t know if there was Xie Changqing in it. The mountains were flattened, which was even more terrifying than the ancient battlefield.
I saw some withered golden Buddha flowers, and I followed the path to look for him. Zhan Ji was lying on the ground covered in blood, his robes were torn, and his relics were scattered everywhere. He was already dying, but he looked calmer than every other time I had seen him.
I squatted down and called him tremblingly, “Little Master.”
He tried hard to open his eyes: “Miss Yue, you are here. Oh, walk east, there he is.”
I was extremely scared, so I kept sending him magic power. I was afraid he would die, so I kept talking to him in a non-stop and long-winded manner.
“Little Master, can Buddha also die?”
“Miss Yue, I am not a Buddha. I will die.”
“Little Master, have you not yet learned to favoritism?”
Zhan Ji closed his eyes for a long time this time, so long that I thought he was dead. He said calmly, “No, I learned it.”
He once traveled thousands of miles to find a girl who knelt down in pain in the snow. She raised her head and said solemnly, “My name is Yuechun.” Someone once lifted his red veil with a smile in a cold cave and asked, “Little Master, why do you have long hair?” She was very happy about the blooming of a golden Buddha flower. She asked what the common people were on a sunny wild flower path. She drew her sword and killed the evil dragon under the Demon Cliff and met him on the bloody road.
Master Kongming said that he did not love anything in the world, but now because of a girl, he fell in love with everything in the world.
“Young Master, will you die?”
He laughed, “I won’t. But if you don’t leave, he will die.”
I took off the dazzling golden Buddha flower on the hilt of my sword and pinned it on his chest with great care. I believed him. Zhan Ji said he would not die, so he would not die.
I never had the chance to meet Zhan Ji again and ask him what the dream he had in the illusion was.
I rushed to see Xie Changqing. Just as Zhan Ji said, Xie Changqing was just a little bit away from death.
It turns out that Dong is Dongya Taoist Lord.
It was he who made Xie Changqing possessed.
He was the one who killed my parents.
It was he who destroyed the Changxu Sect.
It is also he who wants to bring disaster to the world.
Hatred built up, and with the world in my heart, I used the Yuechun Sword to the effect of splitting mountains and breaking seas. Dongya Taoist was already in a lose-lose situation with Xie Changqing and Zhan Ji. I finally used Feng Laiwan’s last trick and destroyed Dongya’s soul with one sword.
Xie Changqing was almost dying from his injuries, but he still had the energy to praise me: “Little girl, you did a good job.”
I gritted my teeth and said, “I’ll settle the score with you when I get back.”
After Jade Purity Master woke up, he finally knew the truth. When I passed by him, Master’s face had aged year by year. He said softly, “Yuechun, I was wrong for many years. You have always looked like honeysuckle.”
The mountains and rivers suddenly recovered, Buddhist sounds rang out, golden Buddha flowers bloomed all the way to the horizon, and every cluster of life began to flourish. The evil spirit was unavoidable and had nowhere to hide under the golden light, so it eventually retreated, leaving the mountains and rivers peaceful.
“The young master has attained Buddhahood.”

Bai Sui, who lost his arm, ended up carrying the plaque of Changxu Sect alone. After his master attained enlightenment, he no longer wanted to return to the world, and Bai Sui had to take care of a crazy junior fellow apprentice.
The flowers in Cangjian Villa are more beautiful every year. Xie Changqing has rebuilt his bones and refuses to leave.
How could he be a child-raised husband? How could a child-raised husband force the lady of the manor to get married?
Xie Changqing was quite reasonable, and said:
“The owner of the manor is famous all over the world, so he should get married first, so as not to forget his wife.”
I looked at him and smiled, and all I could say was, “Okay.”
